Airstream Love

Chris and I spent a quick night in a Malibu Airstream that we found on Airbnb.  It was everything we could have hoped for.  These little honeymooner trips are actually only about 36 hours but they always feel like a very fulfilling vacation.
We first took a venture to the Getty Villa in Malibu and then had lunch at Duke's on the water.

Goats and horses met us at the gate of the property and then were led up to the airstream on the cliff.  We took in the view and made a supply list (wine and dessert) and then ventured back out.  We stumbled upon a quaint winery in Westlake Village, sat down, made afternoon friends, bought some wine and went to dinner.

After dinner, we made our way back to the airstream, just in time for sunset and the sounds of the evening were mainly peacocks and llamas on the neighboring land.  We sat and drank our wine and watched the stars come out.  Chris was captivated by his stargazing app and we stayed up until 2 talking and drinking and gazing.

A week with Oma

Oma came to visit for a whole week.  I wish I could have spent more time with her, myself, as Cheyenne was the true beneficiary of the time!  I had an AP conference to attend and Chris and I got to have a quick honeymooner getaway for a night as well, all the while Oma and Chy played and played the days away.  We all got a chance to go to the OC fair and see camels and goats and giant cows.
